We arrived early on our day of check in smelly and dirty following 3 days at the Groezrock festival. Although there was plenty of time before check in the hotel receptionist took our details, let us drop off our bags and use the toilet facilities to freshen up. We returned not long later and had no problem falling asleep for an hour in the gorgeous garden, it was that quiet, then checked in and slept for 5 hours straight before resurfacing for dinner in the city.

Our room was 33 and was beautiful. Minibar was no more expensive than in the shops and bars, shower was fantastic and the bed was sooo comfy.

Breakfast was a buffet and very good. My wife had 3rds most mornings.

The hotel itself is stunning inside, immaculate everywhere and every member of staff is incredibly friendly. The location is perfect with only 5 minutes from the main square

I really have no complaints and will book again

A friend and I stayed here for 3 days last weekend and were very pleasantly surprised, wonderful decor, friendly staff, great room (probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!) fantastic choice on the buffet breakfast. The only thing negative I would say is ask for a room at the rear of the building, as the road at the front was quite noisy even in the small hours and did disturb my sleep. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a room ar the rear

Excellent hotel in very central area. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. We stayed in the Knights Room (in the roof). We couldn't hear a sound so slept soundly and were in danger of overlaying and missing the sightseeing!

We loved the hotel for our short trip. Perfectly located, nice surrounding amenities. We stayed in the baroness suite, with high ceilings and lots of space the room was perfect. The bathroom also had lots of room and very stylish… we will definately return. The staff went the extra mile and were very friendly, thanks for a pleasent stay.

Quaint atmospheric Hotel with lengthy history, friendly staff, lovely rooms and an extensive breakfast to set you up for the day .A definite recommendation

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Bruges. Very close to the Markt square and the Burg - no more than a 5 minute walk. The bed was the most comfortable I'd ever slept in at a hotel, the breakfast was excellent value with something for everyone.
The staff were all extremely helpful and very courteous.
We stayed in room 31 which was on the second floor. The room was a good size though a little dark inside and the bathroom could do with a lick of paint, but not a problem.
I would recommend the hotel to anyone!
We had a fantastic dinner at In Den Wittenkop which is located just off the Markt square - ignore the understated appearance, the food is amazing!

Stayed at the hotel from 22nd to 26th March, our third stay and it just keeps getting better.

The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful from the moment you arrive until they order a taxi for you to leave (in our instance).
This was the first time we've stayed in one of the new rooms (No. 33) towards the rear of the hotel, and although the room is in the new block it still has that authentic olde worlde feel - the bed was massive and very comfortable and the room was spotless (flatscreen tv on the wall meant it didnt intrude).
Minibar well stocked, although we only had a bottle of water between us (plenty of other things to drink though).
The breakfasts have improved, they were never bad but they just seem better and the dining room is an experience in itself.
Its a brilliant location, not too close the the Markt or Burg squares but not to far - you're a 5/10 minute walk from them both depending on how quick you want to get there.

Would we go back? Yes we definitely would and we will be at some point next year.
