Stayed here for 4 nights.Lovely place with lovely hosts.Wouldnt say we found it easily but there is a pavement sign just outside the hairdressers (Kappershuis) that we didn't notice at first. All rooms are up a short flight of spiral stairs. We stayed in room 3 which was large and spacious. No door on bathroom but wasn't a problem.Bathroom was large modern and clean as was the room itself.Had a large balcony outside with a large sliding door, this was great (especially if you are a smoker )but it looked a little tired and needs a coat of paint but we didn't use it much anyway.Room was also at the back, not much of a view but very quiet and peaceful.Felt secure enough to sleep with door open as it was warm during the night.
Lots of little things supplied like razors, sanitary wear, moisturisers, showercaps etc,no shampoo conditioner or shower gel but it is a B&B and not a hotel.
Breakfast was lovely and plentiful along with the choice of bacon and eggs done to your preference.
We're able to park across the street most days though there is a secure underground car park around the back.Menin gate and town square are just couple of minutes away in either direction and bars and eating places all on your doorstep.
Lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Though it is a bit strange to enter a B&B trough a hairdressers saloon, it is a fantastic place to stay. It has a very good location, near the Menin Gate in Ypres.

We had the luxury room, which was rather a small flat with a living room, two bed rooms, a separated bath room and a separated toilet.

The hosts were very friendly and they did all they can to help you.

Second visit to this lovely B&B. And it was as great as the first time. Janne is a very warm and welcoming lady, nothing too much trouble ,and makes the best breakfast. Spotless rooms, and a very good selection at breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay... See you soon.

What a fabulous place with fabulous hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Carpe Diem is near to the Menin Gate, Cloth Hall and the bars and restaurants. If you visit Ypres you definitely need to stay here

We spent three nights and highly recommend this place. From the warm welcome from Janne to the delicious breakfast to the perfect location, things could not have been better. We asked for room 2 on booking, based on a previous review. When we arrived Janne said she had put us in room 4 because it was bigger and better. She was absolutely spot on. Room 4 is the deluxe room so is a little more expensive (although she gave us a free upgrade). However it is more like a private apartment minus the kitchen. The bedroom is huge and comfortable, it has a completely separate large lounge room, bathroom and toilet, all on the top floor and away from any other guests. If you are there for more than one night I highly recommend that you book room 4. The B&B is literally 100 metres from the Menin Gate and right in the middle of the main shopping strip, a perfect location. Everything was very clean and breakfast was comprehensive and quality - from European style meats and cheeses to eggs and bacon cooked to order. It's only downfall is the stairs. They have no lift and access to rooms 1,2 and 3 is by a tight circular staircase. Room 4 is another flight further up but is worth the effort to get there.

Room Tip: Room 4, the deluxe suite is worth the extra.
