“best cottage I've stayed in”
Reviewed November 13, 2011 for a stay in November 2011

Welcome basket, beautifully decorated throughout, kitchen stocked with all the cooking equipment you might need, beautiful view I could go on and on. The level of detail that has been thought about are the motion sensor night lights that come on when you walk so that if you go to the loo in the night it lights up as you walk along!!!

There are a few steps to go up to the living area and down to the bedrooms and I'm not sure how you'd cope if you have a small child (ours is disabled so wasn't really an issue for us).

“Wonderful homely cottage”
Reviewed November 11, 2011 for a stay in November 2011

Had a weekend break at The Old Creamery with our 4month old and it couldnt have been more perfect a location.
The creamery has been renovated to a high standard, is extremely well appointed with everything you could possibly need, warm and comfortable. On a wet rainy day you won't mind spending it indoors.
Location is perhaps 15mins from Matlock and then on to all point sof interest in the peak district. We visited Chatsworth and Bakewell that were both close by and after a long day out and a tired 4 month old the Creamery was great to come back to collapse and relax.

Pricilla and Ian are very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is very reasonably priced and the fact that young children are accepted is a big bonus.
We hope to return soon.

“Beautiful, unique character cottage ideal base for exploring Peak district”
Reviewed October 23, 2011 for a stay in October 2011

We are just back from a wonderful stay at The Old Creamery.

The cottage exceeded our expectations, it is decorated beautifully throughout to a very high standard and is full of character.

As well as being a lovely place to stay we found the cottage really well equipped, furthermore the attention given to thoughtful touches including the generous welcome basket full of lovely local produce made our stay very special.

The owners were really welcoming and in advance of our arrival went out of their way to provide us with useful info. During our stay they even went so far as to surprise us by flying our national flag... the first time we have had this while in residence!!

Can't recommend highly enough and we will certainly be back as the area has so much to offer.

“Warm welcome & extremely comfortable, well equipped cottage”
Reviewed August 11, 2011 for a stay in April 2011

We spent a wonderful week staying at The Old Creamery. The attention to detail in this cottage is excellent with everything you could need-board games & DVDs in case of rain, fluffy bathrobes and good quality kitchen equipment so that cooking doesn't feel like a chore. It is close to lots of great attractions and there are some lovely country walks right from the cottage. We thought our stay was great value for money and will definitely be back.
