Unbelievably quaint romantic traditional spectacular coffee and pastry shop! We plan to use here every morning while we are in Devorah.

Delicious pastries served with a generous side of contempt by surly staff. If this is not enough to deter you, try the signature pão de rala or the beijinho da freira (Nun’s Kiss), or heck, get them both, portions are small despite the steep prices. Good coffee also.

Traditional Portuguese sweets to die for! Delicate, pure tastes in a lovely decorated environment. Definitely worth a visit (don’t miss the heavenly “nun’s kiss”, or Beijinho da Freira!)

When I returned the dishes and cups to the counter, the young lady turned disgusted to the other side: this says it all. The sweets are good, even if slightly overpriced. The service was one of the biggest disappointment in 15 years of traveling. We felt as if we were not welcome, no information about the pastries when asked (answer 1: egg and sugar, answer 2: egg and sugar). Will never return nor recommend.
