Excelente alentejo inspired food, really tasty and well prepared. Nice ambience. Located near the market making it relatively easy to park. The only complaint we had was with our server who seem to have a few screws loose. He left in the middle of taking our order, took a few of our questions about the ingredients the wrong way, forgot part of the order and was a bit to insistent on up selling. The only reason I still gave a high review is because of the effort of the chef put in the delicious food we had. The black pork cheeks with a celery mash was my favourite. Desserts were all a bit to sweet for my taste but that's just how they make the traditional regional sweets.

If you're a tourist you should either avoid this place or be very carefull for not getting overchaged by the owner.
Once seated the owner comes and offers you starters from a plate without clearly stating the price, so make sure to check the price on the menu.
Remember to ask for the wine price too, I got charged an amazing 12 euros for a glass of red wine (yes, you've heard correct, 12 euros).
The food in general is average quality: I ordered tuna and I left half of it on the plate, it was overcooked and stiff to eat.
The duck with rice was just fine.
If you have kids with you just avoid this place. The staff don't like them and they don't make any effort to hide it.

Located on the plaza just outside the Capello dos Ossos, this restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. We tried the local dish, Migas, as well as other suggestions of our server including duck with orange rice, rabbit pie, and cheeks of black pig (be sure to ask the server to teach you how to say "cheeks" in Portuguese, it's difficult and also amusing). Each entree was delicious, unique, and beautifully presented. The restaurant was highly recommended by the staff at the equally-excellent Olive Hotel Evora.
