I love this restaurant. We have eaten here several times since arriving and every time the food has been fabulous. We have had lunches of omelette with salad, toasties with chips all perfect and served with smiles from the delightful staff.

We also had the piri piri chicken which was fabulous with just the right amount of kick. After chatting to the owner he told us that he makes his own piri piri from ingredients grown on his farm and honestly it was nothing like the piri piri served in the piri piri chain- it was in a different class.

We finished off our holiday with dinner of fillet steak in pepper sauce with roast potatoes and my other half has the steak kebab , both were to die for. Probably the biggest and the tastiest fillet steak I’ve eaten. I had a glass of house red to go with my steak and it was really lovely.

I could not recommend this place enough. It has a lovely atmosphere and the outside eating area is delightful with lots of greenery.

We stumbled across this restaurant by complete luck as it's tucked away down a much quieter part of town. From the moment we walked in (no reservation needed) we were met with warm and friendly staff. The atmosphere here is fabulous. Perfect for couples and groups alike, and unlike other restaurants, they're not packing people in on tables too close together, which is a pet hate of mine.
The service and food was perfect. Real traditional Portuguese cuisine. All of their dishes are cooked fresh to order so expect to wait. If you're wanting fast food, why not pop along to a burger bar instead? Our mains arrived after 35 minutes and that isn't by any means a criticism as it was definitely worth the wait! We had Cataplana for two, which was packed with so much fresh quality fish I think it could have fed a family of four. The house red is great quality and the desserts, sublime (especially the cream tart).
We loved it so much we went back a second time... I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. The whole experience was simply wonderful.

Although this restaurant seems to have good reviews that was not our experience. We waited well over an hour for our main course with no apology. I think it was the owner's daughter who dealt with us and her English was not great. I would have expected the owner to come and speak to us. I had grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, potatoes and vegetables which were overlooked. My husband had lamb chops with mint sauce, chips and salad which he said was okay. My chicken was nothing special. Very disappointed and will not be back.

Lovely friendly restaurant - very attentive service. Food was fantastic - we had chateaubriand and the seafood cataplana.
