We travelled to Estói for a wedding of a friend’s daughter and discovered a home away from home
The house was originally a private residence of a wealthy family and all the beautiful antiques are still there Many rooms to sit and relax and beautiful bedrooms, some with balcony.
Breakfast is included and is delicious. Fresh breads and pastries as well as eggs, ham, whatever your pleasure.
But the star of the show is Katerina, your hostess. Warm and welcoming, she makes you feel like family. Nothing was too much trouble for her, including speaking to baggage claim at the airport as our bags had not arrived with us. Sure enough, the next day they were there.
Thank you, Katarina, for making our stay magical. We miss you.

This was our second visit here and each time just gets better! From the quaint building and interior, to the fabulous hostess Katarina, it was another enjoyable stay.
Would highly recommend for anyone looking for somewhere for a quiet and relaxing break.

Really nicely kept hotel in the centre square of Estoi. Met on arrival by the enthusiastic manager-Catharina we were given a tour of the whole house and pool.
Casa is very relaxed and Catharina very friendly with plenty of ideas of where to eat, towns to visit by car. Breakfast is help yourself with added bonus of fresh eggs cooked for you, freshly squeezed orange juice and a home baked cake of the day!
The pool, although small, is plenty deep enough and nice to cool off. All in all a very relaxing hotel stay with a warm welcome and the place is spotlessly clean for an old building. Thank you Casa, thank you Catharina ... we'll be back Im sure

Estoi it´s a beautiful very small village, but is within an easy travel to Faro, beaches etc.

Casa de Estoi is an old restored family home near the church, its the perfect for a romantic stay or if you don't like run of the mill tourist hotels.

-We arrived late after 9 PM had a warm welcome and even managed to have some dinner in a restaurant a the end of the street.
-The room was very nice and spotless clean.
-The breakfast served outside by the pool where all guest sit around one big table, was very tasty.
-Is located short drive from Faro airport..
-Parking is easy.
-Catarina´s warm and her friendly attitude made us feel very welcomed and made our staying wonderful.

I would recomend Casa de Estoi anytime.

Having read very good reviews of this hotel/guesthouse, I booked us into the suite for one night. On arrival we were given a tour by the lively and friendly Caterina, who manages the guesthouse with great gusto taking care of your every need! This house was the home of the President of Faro and still retains all the original features, and just oozes character from every room. The tempting smell of freshly baked apple cake wafted through the kitchen ready for tomorrow's breakfast! Every room showed us a piece of the family history and at the conclusion of the tour was the outside courtyard with a circular pool, next to the outside breakfast eating area.
Our next treat was the suite, as we entered the room there was a small staircase down to a stunning lounge area, overlooking the pool. Down a wardrobe lined corridor was a bathroom on the right, then at the end was a lovely twin bedroom, and then another shower room, adjoining the main double bedroom, what a fantastic suite it was! Everything was extremely tasteful and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the only downside was that the rooms overlooked the street, so was a bit noisy.
Caterina was so helpful and recommended us to a local restaurant nearby where we had a reasonable meal for 8 euros!
In the morning, there was a delicious breakfast served in the courtyard with the apple cake, as well as cereals, fresh orange juice, eggs made whichever way by Caterina herself, plus a number of Portuguese cakes!

I would say that this is a place where one can relax and unwind, but is not near to the beach. Just a great base to visit other places, or a stopover near to the airport.

However I would highly recommend a visit here, you will not be disappointed and we are certainly going to visit again!
