Having driven past the restaurant several times, we were extremely happy to book a table for Valentines night.

They had a set menu for 30 euros, which has simple classics to suit all taste buds! The meal was delicious and full of cute touches like heart shape pasta which added to the meal. The courses weren’t rushed and we had ample time to enjoy the atmosphere and time by the delightful fire, which was a centre piece in the room! We had a couple of bottles of wine and soft drinks and the final bill was reasonable and reflected the food standard well.
The service was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly.
We will definitely return if in the Silves area again. Thank you x

Six of us visited whilst staying at a nearby golf resort. The owner was really friendly & helpful & the food was delicious. I had the lamb & it was melt in the mouth . Definitely one to visit

My family and I dined at this cozy establishment two times while we were visiting Silves. The first was our inaugural Algarve restaurant experience and the second fittingly marked our last meal before we flew back to the rigours of a Canadian winter. To say the least, both experiences were extraordinary. My mom expressed to me that before O Alambique, she had no idea what it was to "dine."

The space itself is warm and inviting. We sat at a table by the fireplace. When you walk in, you're welcomed with grace and hospitality that continues throughout your meal. You can tell that the owner and staff take a great deal of pride in their work, as every dish is presented beautifully and with impeccable service.

The chef never failed to deliver dishes that made my tastebuds sing. We cleaned our plates and licked them for good measure - because not a single drop of this food should be wasted. My absolute favourites were the coconut pawns (with a sauce that dreams are made of) and the mushroom risotto but all the dishes had fresh, authentic flavours. The ingredients are sourced locally - and often from their own garden. Make sure to order a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is handmade and tastes like REAL vanilla - you will never associate the flavour with boring or plain again - promise. And on that note, be sure to order dessert. It is not to be skipped, along with a specialty coffee perhaps.

We left the restaurant happy and full on both occasions. If you happen to be passing through Silves, make note to stop in for dinner. You will be glad you did.
