What a lovely hotel, comfortable rooms, beds, indoor and outdoor pools, gym, very friendly staff, and food, glorious food! You've got to try the Koi natural breakfast yoghurt with pumpkin jam, oatflakes with raisins and almonds, delicious!
This hotel accommodated our every need and was centrally located. Most advantageous as it turned out was the business centre in which I spent many an hour sorting out a few issues, in comfort. This hotel is definitely on our return list.
In fact the Azores are on our re-visit list, anybody seriously interested in trekking and hiking will find this is the paradise you've been looking for as the weather is as pleasant as the scenery, I love it!

This is a lovely hotel. Like everything in Ponta Delgada it is spotlessly clean. Service is understated but excellent.
The breakfast buffet is very good with local food featured as well as other ‘classics ‘.
The staff in the dining room work very hard to keep everything pristine at all times.
The outdoor pool and garden is a tranquil delight so do spend some time there.
There is a tennis court, a gym, a sauna and steam room and indoor pool and jacuzzi too. There are also some shiny new bikes to hire and Ponta Delgada is safe for holiday cyclists.
Special mention has to go to the amazing sparrows in the Japanese style courtyard garden at dusk. What a treat to see and hear them in their hundreds.
The hotel has a bus stop outside for the airport bus. It’s literally about 15 mins away so just hop on at the airport and ask the driver to tell you when to get off. The hotel is ideally placed to explore Ponta Delgada on foot - only a few minutes to the main squares and sea front.
The standard of housekeeping is very high. We were very comfortable and happy. We talked to guests who were back for second and third visits - as we will be!

Close to airport, and the onsite pools are a big plus. Rooms are decent, and AC was good. Front desk service was great, but the cafe was slow. Often had to flag down to order drinks and food. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for one night.

We really like our room with a balcony overlooking the garden. There is very little noise from other guests. We were able to hear airplanes, but it wasn’t too much. The beds were a bit hard for our liking but we slept so well. The room was clean, the air-conditioner worked ok and we were lucky to have a bathtub in the bathroom.
The breakfast is good - but unfortunately acoustics in the restaurant is terrible (too much noise from guests and kitchen). Staff is attentive and fast and sometimes take our dishes before we are done - but happily help out to replace what we needed.
It would be quite nice to have a drinking water fountain by the wellness area. Also, many children were visiting as well which made it impossible to chill in the jacuzzi and sauna as they were playing and jumping in and out of the pool. It would be nice if the wellness area was reserved for relaxing purposes. (Children do also make full use of the outside swimming pool).
The gym is ok, although it would have been great to see some paper and soapy water to clean up after yourself.
At around 9 pm each night tiny birds fly in to sleep in the garden and we really enjoy watching them.
As a last remark, the hotel gave us a complimentary filtered water bottle in our first night and it would be amazing if they did that every day during room clean up, it would mean so much to have a liter of water waiting at the end of a beautiful day in the Azores.

We stayed here for 6 days on the third floor of this very modern, quiet hotel. The room had 2 twin beds pushed together, very clean linens and no weird odors. Room had a fridge but no microwave. Minibar was stocked; plain water was free (though a small bottle). No other water filling stations or water source in the hotel other than tap. Usual minimal amenities in bathroom; great pressure and hot water in shower. Our room faced the outside street and it was still extremely quiet and easy to get a good night's sleep. Loved the terrace facing the street.
Best part of our stay was the hotel breakfast which was included in the price. Breakfast was fresh, and extensive. Hot items like eggs, bacon, were great; bread was amazing and so fresh; plenty of fruit and coffee.
Location is central. Walking distance to the center of town and plenty of restaurants. Very easy to find and just a few minutes from the airport. The hotel provides a shuttle for 15E if you need it.
On the "con" side: no coffee or tea in the rooms. The swimming pools are very nice but the hot tub was never hot - just lukewarm. The light in the steam room did not work so it was pitch dark in there. A water fountain would have been great.
Overall the pros far outweigh the cons and I would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: Face the street! You can see the ocean.
