This is a great place to take kids - especially Portuguese kids. Its a bit like an historic theme park without any of the thrills. There has been a lot of effort in setting it up and the miniature buildings are remarkable in their detail and the ability to wander around inside them. However there is a minimal of interest inside each place except for a few dated artefacts or an outdated video. The entry fee was a shock, given that you can buy lunch for about half the price of an adult entry. If you have kids and they want to learn about the Portuguese version of world discoveries, then its a great way to spend a few hours. Otherwise, I can't really recommend it.

Half-sized buildings from Portugal, along with exhibitons from the colonies.
Walking among the buildings and make great photos is fun for 2-3 hours (especially with children).
The exhibitons are a bit old-school and not very exciting.
There is no interactivity, and it1s not an amusement park (there's only a small train for the youngest ones).
Overall: worth the price even with older (14-16) children.

Begun in the 1800's as a children's musuem then converted to a minature of Portugal and their colonies. What an unusal way to display history. Be sure to keep walking to the back, its much further than you think. Take a picture sitting in a tea pot. Climb to the top of the lighthouse. Look at all the dolls dressed in intricately detailed period dress. Take the kids but go even if you dont have a kid to take.

Bring your children to Portugal of the Pequenitos is more like a small nation of tiny houses for smaller stature people.
