Boca do Inferno is a good spot to stop and get a glimpse of the rugged cliffs around Cascais. There is a small restaurant and an even smaller gift shop. You can also buy table clothes and other cheaply made gee-gaws from the men & women that seel such things under a small awning that serves as a market.

walked here from the town and came across this place.Nice view and lots of people there but not a great deal to see or hear as it was a calm day.

It is essential to book if you want to eat here as it is very popular, especially at holiday times. Ask for a table overlooking the sea as the inside of the restaurant can be a bit dark.

This is a beautiful 1/2 hour walk along the seaside, and a great place to stretch your legs and work up an appetite!

Boca do inferno is just about 10mins walk from Real Villa Italia Hotel where we stayed for our holiday. It is quite a dangerous and terrifying looking site but beautiful to gaze at.

We heard from a trio of locals saying that people have either committed suicide or died in the area. Surely it still brought a lot of tourists and locals looking for a nice picture and scenery view of the inferno.

There is also a few good seafood restaurants within the vicinity of Boca do inferno worth trying. I would highly recommend a trip to the inferno.
