Across the road from Museum Nacional dos Coches , Literally , The National Coche Museum is well worth seeing , With Former Kings & Queens & Popes State horse drawn carriages from other countries as well , all lined up and ready to go ..And some were even made in different countries like Spain & Britain .
Plenty of spaces to move about as it was not that crowded .
The detail of the carriages are breathtaking and the insides still as today look fabulous.
There are so many and not all State coaches , Look out for the mail coach & the old Sedan Chairs , And what the horses wore and the staff that drove the carriages.
As you see most coaches you can interactive with them on a tv screen where it will give you a much more detailed look at them and even a 360` view of the inside ..
Small plagues tell you all about the carriages , Dates , Who rode inside & a brief history guide ..
Upstairs are some models of the carriages in glass cases.
Not all about coaches , There is a old vintage car and a room dedicated to Citroen the French car manufactures , Models , Pictures & How the hydraulics work on there suspension . Upstairs was a exhibition called NEMTOI until 6th Oct 2019 all the sculptures are made from glass , Some great pieces on show . 6 Euros per adult (Sept 2019 prices ) to get in or FREE with your Lisboa card..
Remember Closed on Mondays as most museums are in Lisbon !
