We decided to pop in on the way back to the train and it was free with the Lisbon card. We found the history quite interesting there is a large collection well displayed . Defiantly worth an hour of time.

Spent about an hour looking at the old coaches. Well laid out and we enjoyed our visit. Information boards alongside the coaches/carriages so you could read as much or as little as you wanted.

I took a friend here, telling him it was a "car museum" as it was in the same area we were taking a sailing cruise later. WOW, was he surprised!! The collection, presentation, and explanations are fantastic!! Enough to give you goose bumps!! Make sure to go upstairs, theirs more up there.

This museum is spread across two buildings and contains a wide variety of coaches. Apparently they were set aside when the automobile started coming in and now have been preserved for view. We spent an enjoyable hour visiting both of the buildings. The main one is larger and has more interesting coaches, but the smaller building (across the nearby street) is very beautiful even though it has less to see overall. We were glad that we'd taken the time to visit both.
