Very disappointing. Don't know whether it's because of Covington or the month of October and lack of tourists but the area was DEAD. Only few bars/restaurants open, no sign of fados nor any kind of music. The area looked shabby & expensive.

A beautiful neighborhood in Lisbon, feels like a time warp to a certain degree, small streets and alleys, very cozy and picturesque. lots of up and downs in terms of hills but absolutely worth it. Also great views of the city.

Great neighborhood to stay! We had our Lisbon apartment in this zone and enjoyed the neighborhood a lot... very centric, cool spots for food and drinks as well as nice shops... walking distance to the city or tram 28 always handy

Enjoyed walking through the many streets and just absorbing the sights, sounds of the neighborhood. Wear comfortable shoes, not flip flops as the roads are cobbled and can get a little slippery when walking downhill. You will do A LOT of walking in Lisbon, so this is important to mention.
