Most typical neighborhood, very animated, lots of shops, nightlife, a cereal shop for kids, plenty to do.

I loved this part of the city as it's just so full of life - in fact it's full of everything, like LIsbon in miniature. Close enough to the city centre to walk there if you want to, there is always something to do and see no matter what time of day and night - and perfectly safe for a woman to walk around on her own. Some of the best Fado venues are to be found here - with plenty of cafes and restaurants too. Every corner presents a different picture filled with colour and vibrancy.

I absolutely love this Bairro of Lisbon! A short walk from the city centre, the shops, the main tourist attractions and serious nightlife but far enough away to have its own atmosphere, serenity, local easy nightlife and the relative quiet in the evenings for a city. And I have missed it as I have never missed any place I have visited on earth!

Very disappointing. Don't know whether it's because of Covington or the month of October and lack of tourists but the area was DEAD. Only few bars/restaurants open, no sign of fados nor any kind of music. The area looked shabby & expensive.

best place to travel around the the place because it is oldest and at night time its beautiful to move around so many bar and restaurant.love to come back again.
