Very imposing structure worth a view.Drove under it during my bus tour today. You'd have to have a head for heights to use it though.

Longest bridge in Europe.
Beautiful to see it from different touristic attraction such as Cristo Rei and from the Telecabine that takes you to the Oceanarium.
No line too.

17 km long beach built in water. Very impressive. Is located in the Parque das Nações. Great view over the bridge from the cable car.

We were travelling back to Lisbon from the east, so this bridge was on our route anyway. When we were on it we had great views of Lisbon, and then discovered that it's the longest bridge of its kind in Europe. Pretty sure there wasn't a toll either.

PLEASE NOTE: THE BRIDGE PONTE VASCO DA GAMA IS NOT (!!!) THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE!!! I already read a lot of references here that describe the Ponte de 25 Abril under the name of Ponte Vasco da Gama.
Ponte Vasco da Gama is 17,185 km long which makes it one of the worlds longest bridges the the longest bridge in Europe. In fact it's a highway, so it can neither be crossed walking nor by bike. You can see the bridge from the grounds of the Expo '98.
