My five-year-old daughter is very keen for us to review this museum as she thought it was the best museum she’d ever been to! She loved riding a unicycle, making an electrical circuit, driving a car, helping to build the unfinished house, cannon balling into a giant dog food bowl and lying on a bed of nails! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful too.

We loved the place, ticket is valid all day so we went out for lunch, for aquarium (next door) and we came back afterwords.
Is not just for kids, some discoveries could be challenging for adults too.
If you are in Parque des Nacoes, do not miss it!

It's rather an average, if not worse, museum of this type. We visited two similar science museums in other European cities and the Lisbon museum is a clear backmarker. There were basically one room with interactive experiments, one room (the ground floor) dedicated to dogs and cats and a space for young children to play, paint, etc. Some construction works seemed to be going on, so probably a part of the exposition was closed or the exposition was expanding.
It took my 10 year old daughter just over an hour to see everything and got bored. For comparison, we spent about 3 hours in other science museums. Still many children and adults were enjoying the visit, so I believe it may worth visiting the Pavilhao do Conhecimento if you did not visit other science museums.

This place is geared towards children and appeals mostly to children over the age of 6 in my opinion. My 5 year old daughter appeared to enjoy herself nonetheless. It was very hands-on, especially the 'Doing' sections with stations for sewing, crafts, building motors and tracks for robots.
It was a good place for a rainy day.
