Unfortunately for us, we possibly got allocated the worst room in the hotel on the first floor, overlooking the roof where the extractors from the restaurant and air con units were located. This meant at night you could hear the hum of the units and first thing in the morning the smell of breakfast cooking. Room itself was clean and functional, but was definitely tired and in need of an overhaul. We had two twin beds, as opposed to a double; one of which had a plastic sheet which meant every time you moved, it crackled. The pillows were also in pretty poor shape and the towels were frayed.
Breakfast in the cafe was cheap, so worth going to as opposed to taking the buffet breakfast if you do not have it in included in your room rate. The other thing is, the hotel is close to about 4 metro stops, so though it is out of the way, you can get to the centre fairly quickly. We walked back twice from the old town which took us around 40 mins.
So if you do stay here, ask for a room on a higher floor; we had arrived pretty late from London, so we didn't get a choice.
