Beautiful old building on a main run down to Lisbon but quiet cobble streets are just seconds away. This is a perfect location, out of the hustle and bustle of the main area of the city centre but close enough to get to by taxi, bus or on foot (there are a number of little, albeit steep lanes and sets of steps that will drop you down into the heart of the city) and you'll come across beautiful buildings and squares hidden away!
The hotel rooms are nicely furnished, immaculately clean and the reception staff warn, welcoming and helpful. Take your own travel iron, we forgot but was allowed access into their laundry room to use the hotel's iron and ironing board. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was also good and the dining room beautiful.
Heading towards the city (same side as the hotel) you'll come to a beautiful leafy square where you can enjoy coffee, or freshly squeezed orange juice to set you up for the day.More
