This is a very good museum. Specialized in marionettes and their use, this is a very focused museum with a brilliant collection of puppets, theatres and items made especially for marionettheatres from different countries. It is really interesting, forst of all because of the collection, but also because the knowledge is very well communicated to the guest. It was probably my best museum experience during my stay in Lisbon. Despite the small size, you can easily spend an hour in this museum. Just go.

Suitably odd and slightly off the beaten track. There is a lift for people with access difficulties as there are a number of stairs into the museum. A great collection, with some interactivity. Could have had more information about their tours and there was further activity later that day but we had to ask. Staff not unfriendly but not helpful

They had a decent collection size of different types of marionettes and interesting videos to watch. It's very interactive, with different puppets you can play with, videos, and touch screens to learn about the history of puppets around the world. They also have a camera you can take selfies with. A nice modern museum!

a colourful out of the ordinary quirky experience well worth it to pop in for the price. we loved the displays

We visited because there was a special Aardman exhibition which intrigued us.
The museum itself is not very big, not surprisingly, but does have a neat enough collection to keep visitors somewhat intrigued for an hour or so. Decent spot to check out if in the area and can spare some time to check out something different.

We spent approx 1 1-2 hours here on a Wednesday morning so not too busy.
LOVED IT! We even made a stop motion film!! There is an Arrdman productions section there at the moment - not to be missed! A really fascinating museum. Nice courtyard outside and small cafe.
