Stayed in an upper room called Chalet I believe, upstairs from the coffee lounge. Three rooms off each other - lounge/TV room, bedroom with Juliet balcony (the sort you can't actually sit out on), kitchenette and bathroom.
Decent amount of space overall, and working shutters (if slightly tricky to close and lock) a nice touch as well as nets and curtains. Heaters (aircom in summer) worked well for chilly February evenings. Everything very clean and quite hip (in that paintings leaning against - not fixed to - the wall sort of thing). Would have been nice if kitchen had not been between bedroom and bathroom (and if kitchen had had a small sink) but otherwise no complaints.
Nice touches include free Nespresso machine (you are out of luck though if you wish longer coffees with hot milk with your breakfast as that is all there is for your coffee), a kettle for tea (hooray says the Englishman!) and yogurt as well as the usual minibar choices. More choice and free cakes are available in the lounge downstairs.
Bed comfortable, pillows only hollow fill (would be nice to be offered a feather choice) and enough wardrobe space and hangers. Safe locks with key on room key tag - so don't misplace it!
Staff friendly and helpful and quite numerous, pool seems warm for Feb but we didn't risk it. Overall a nice stay, slightly impacted from 08:30 by the building works...Stayed in an upper room called Chalet I believe, upstairs from the coffee lounge. Overall I would come again, perhaps if warmer pay for a room you can sit out on with a proper terrace for an evening. Views limited to standing next to the window otherwise but would be stunning. Great location but quiet street.More
