Myself (West Ham fan) and a friend (Arsenal Fan) visited the museum during a weekend trip to Lisbon. It became one of the highlights of the trip.
There is pretty much every trophy the club has won, whether it be in football of one of the other sports Benfica competes in. The museum then has a section leading upstairs which became a timeline in the history of man, from when the club was founded (1904) to the present day including the moon landings, the Beatles and the invention of the internet and the Euro.
The staff were fantastic, all of them spoke great English and were very knowledgeable about every section we were in. We spoke in length about football in general and they even came and got us when a video was about to start.
There were two large video experiences. The first was about the passion of the fans which to be honest didn't really interest me, but the second was in an amphitheatre which showed the history of the club and its relationship with the city. That one is worth a watch.
There was even an interactive game where you take penalties against a computer generated keeper (we had a mini shoot out between us and I won) which was a great bit of fun just before the end of the museum.
My favourite part was the showcase of Eusebio, a world icon of football and the memorabilia from his career and the club around that time. The museum was only created four years ago and still look brand new, I couldn't fault its cleanliness and the way it was layed out.
For any football fan who is in Lisbon it is a must, equally if you are not a football fan I believe there is alot of things that you would appreciate and would keep you entertained.
