Plenty to do in this area of Lisbon. We run and it offered plenty of routes for us to fill our morning runs. We loved it down by Alameda dos Oceanos. Vasco de gama is a great mall and altice area has great gigs. The Oceanarium is here too and the cable cars. Or catch a sight seeing bus from one of the many stops. Recommend.

Great way to spend a day without the rain. Variety of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Fantastic views of Vasco da Gama bridge and the River Tejo. You can also rent a bike or go jogging along the way.

Accessible with the train and metro that stops at this Oriente station and goes straight to the airport

If you love modern architecture, shopping or eating, come here! Bring your DSLR and go wild. We had a fabulous day exploring this area. Take the tram ride to see it all from above. Great reasonably priced food in the Vasco da Gama shopping mall. Not usually into food courts, but this one is worth it! Had some ribs slathered with olive oil that were cheap and incredible!

We walked around the Parque on our trip to the Oceanarium, which is probably the main attraction unless you live near here or come to shop in the nearby large shopping center. A few of the large exhibition halls are in disrepair and seem fairly empty and sad—probably not at all like the bustle they saw when crowds came for the Expo '98. However, this is a peaceful spot to walk around in, near the edge of the River Tagus, admiring the Vasco da Gama bridge, the boats, taking in a meal, a snack or a coffee in the numerous shops nearby or in the shopping center. The sky ride gondola was a nice way of getting from one end of the long park to another, and to seeing the area from another vantage point.

If you love modern architecture, that's the place to go!
It's easy to get there with the metro adn if you need to do some shopping, there's a shopping mall right there.
Beautiful buildings from Calatrava, Vieira and Burmester.
