This contemporary art museum has various exhibits that kept my family busy. While appreciating all the pieces, it was astonishing to see how the artists around the world had different ways to create their art pieces. They used various materials and ideas to make their masterpieces. The museum is spacious and interesting.
Oh, there is a very nice garden when you walk out of the museum. Walk straight! One of the best views in Belém!! You can sit on the grass and look out the view. If you don’t like museum, just stop by and take a break in the garden free of charge!
FYI: Free admission on the first Sunday of every month

Visited this museum because I wanted to see some modern (pop) art and was not disappointed at all. A great collection of art dating from 1900 up to now. A great museum to visit when you want to escape from the sun for a while during a hot Summers day!

This is a great way to kill a few hours out of the scorching Lisbon sun.
The museum splits its exhibitions into themes and chronology so that you can see how one theme lead into the development of another, and the actual objects are of very high quality in parts with standout pieces from the giants of each theme, Picasso, Pollack et al.
Considering the stength and breadth of the exhibits the entrance can be considered reasonable value, recommended.

We were in Belem to see the tower Padrão dos Descobrimentos and have some more pastis da nata and we stumbled upon the most beautiful modern building we have seen for a while. We discovered that this was the Berado Museum of Contemporary Art. What an incredible collection of the art of the last century in such a wonderful setting. If you want to discover 20th century art then come here and get up to speed in a few hours. Sensational! Best art gallery by far in Lisbon.

What an entrance!! Quite a few big names. A lot of modern art. I love all the different movements. Did not realize there were so many isms in art movements. Quite an educational experience fir me and I know art quite well. The kids went berserk because they actually got to see the paintings they were studying in their art classes. All in all such a great experience. We definitely needed lunch after that. Viewing good art is such hard work.
