I've stayed at this hotel just 400 metres from all the fabulous restaurants, bars and fashion houses and galleries in Chiado now on more than one occasion. You are in walking distance to absolutely everything. Each time I have stayed I've been blessed with a spectacular view out my window over the city square. The rooms are not large, but plenty big enough if you are out and about shopping, sight-seeing and going out to restaurants in the evening. The bed is super comfortable and the room is quiet. Decor and furnishings are modern and comfortable. Big shower here which I loved. My room had a small desk where I could get some work done and I so appreciated the fast free wifi. There is a restaurant within the hotel that serves an adequate breakfast of fresh fruits, pastries and cooked breakfasts. Great coffee. I found the restaurant was not as good on my last visit in 2018. In 2017 I would have rated this a 5 star restaurant. Perhaps I chose badly, but my plates were not of the quality of my previous experience. Plenty of great wines to choose from too. The staff here at the 24hr front desk have always been exceptional and so helpful about where to find things, problem solve and store luggage for you.

There are fancier hotels to stay in, in the heart of Lisbon, but this little hotel has all the creature comforts I look for when I'm travelling and I'm certain I shall be returning here when I need to be close to Chiado in particular

This was my first visit to Lisbon and I wanted a hotel that was in a centralized location within good walking distance to most sights. This hotel is in a perfect location for doing just that. Close to sights, restaurants and shopping! If you are looking to do day trips as well, it is also conveniently located across the street from the train station. Additionally, (Granted, I don't stay out late) I always felt safe walking to and from the hotel.

My room had a fabulous view of the square and the castle. It was beautiful to see the sunrise over the castle each morning. The decor is trendy and colorful. It's not a large room but certainly enough for 2. The hotel also provides a complimentary iPad to use during your stay which is extremely helpful when navigating the city as it has google maps & GPS.

The breakfast room is nice and bright and has a generous continental breakfast. There is also complimentary fresh fruit and water in the lobby.

It was a special occasion and the hotel recognized that (I mentioned it in my booking) I returned one evening to find a lovely bottle of prosecco and cheese/dessert. It's always a very nice touch when those specifics are given special attention.

The staff is fantastic and always willing to help and offer a smile. I wish I would've written more names down but the entire front desk staff were fantastic (especially, the front office manager, Mariana Ferreira)

When writing a review, I have to include all aspects so I would say there were only 2 complaints. 1. minor complaint, the lighting in the bathroom could be much better as it is minimal and 2. The acoustics in the hotel must not be good. I say that because I knew exactly each morning (around 6am) when the housekeeping/staff (not sure as it may have been the breakfast room staff downstairs) began working. It sounded as if they were slamming doors and it was quite loud. I have to think it was the poor acoustics as I can't imagine staff wouldn't be so loud on purpose.
