I stayed for four nights. The room was clean, on the top floor overlooking some roofs. As I'd requested to be put in a quiet location, this was what I wanted.
The room itself was small, and the furnishings slightly on the spartan side. The breakfast buffet was standard for a Portuguese hotel. Most of the guests I encountered in the breakfast room were technicians from out of town working in the Port, apparently on a project.
The location is excellent. The bus station is 10 minutes by foot, and the main train station just over twice that. Many decent restaurants are within a five minute walk (e.g., see my review of Duarte, which is about 300 meters from the hotel).
In short, the hotel offers pretty good value for money; however, it's not going to be a stay you're likely to remember fondly.
