Nice Christmas evening meal felt that the restaurant lacks ambience and at times during the service it felt s little over prescribed and perhaps clinical. The staff were very efficient and the chef kindly made me an alternate desert as the only one on offer as part of the Christmas menu was chocolate which was a shame as the rest of the meal was lovely. All in all a nice experience but not a great one.

Arrived at the restaurant on a Monday night without reservations. We were welcomed warmly and seated at the table of our choice ( ok, it was not busy like any restaurant on a Monday night).
We chose to partake in the degustation menu and were given great recommendations by the maitre d'hôtel. The meal was brilliant. The wine we chose was awesome.
The service was excellent....personal, yet not "in your face".
I highly recommend the Uva.
I definitely WILL be back.

We went here to celebrate a special occasion but where not impressed. Although the staff where nice and did their best the experience was not worth the money.

Food and interior felt dated and stuck in the nineties. I expected more from this place.

The whole family was reunited for our mother' birthday and friends recommended this restaurant because it was formerly advised by Westermann from Alsace.
The chef is still French and the food creative. The manager was very hospitable.
Seasoning is on the soft side, but food was good with a special note for the chocolate soufflé!

Stayed in The Vine, a big fuss was made over booking at hotel reception, otherwise we would not be able to dine as it gets so busy!

Resturant was barely half full and the poor staff (the few there were) were rushed off their feet.

Nice layout, and beautiful view of city and harbour.

Head waiter not very nice. Wasn't impressed we only wanted a main. Think we were forgotten after that.

Ordered water, large bottle 6 euros, 60 cents in the supermarket below.

After over an hour we got our main, it was very fresh but my husbands Rissotto was 22euros mine in photo was 20 euro. Didn't brother with dessert, couldn't bare the wait. Wine etc was very expensive.

I am a chef and have worked in the industry, couldn't figure out the fuss.

They would get more customers if they lowered prices, and gave more choice. There is a special set price without drinks.

A special treat was ruined.

Didn't bother with resturant again, not many people that we spoke to were impressed. Shame. The resturant are missing an opportunity.
