This is our second visit to the 2 Michelin star establishment within the Cliff Bay hotel.
It is expensive however the food is truly fantastic.
Unfortunately our experience was somewhat tarnished by staff trying to sell us a bottle of Madiera for 67 euros before we had even finished coffee.
This is not the behaviour you should expect from a 2 star establishment. When I spoke to the restaurant manager he told me that he was under instructions to push this product
Although we would return to the Cliff Bay I doubt if we would dine at Il Gallo D’Oro again in light of this crass salesmanship
