What a charming place to stay... room extremely clean and well serviced. Reception staff go that step further to help you with all there needs. Restaurant could improve. Bar staff and swimming pool staff very friendly and polite. Good value and will stay again.

Stayed here on an overnight stop touring Spain/Portugal.
Check in was very easy and secure underground parking right outside was perfect for the bikes.
Room was clean and spacious. Straight up to the roof top pool for a drink and to cool down which was lovely.
Wondered into the town which was only 5-10 minutes walk. Perfect location really to get to town without it being to load at the end of the night. Really enjoyed Braga with it's easy atmosphere and tapas bars.
Morning breakfast was a good mix of continental, cooked or pastries. Plenty of options.
Check out was just as easy.
The staff where all polite, friendly and very helpful. Cannot fault the service, food, room or cleanliness.

Lovely hotel, everywhere was nice and clean, all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful - a credit to the hotel. The hotel is in a good central location, walking distance to restaurants and bars etc. Only had breakfast in the hotel (2 days) but had everything we needed and then some - cold meats / cheeses, yoghurts etc as well as all the hot food you could ask for. Rooftop pool area was a bonus especially to catch the sunshine but the pool is not heated so bear this in mind as quite cold. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is indeed very simple, yet all pre-requisites of the Mercure standard list are there and nothing will be really missed!
Location is prime, very near all points of interest in Braga, with facilities like ATMs, supermarket, restaurants and alike within no 200m away!
Check-in was quick and uncomplicated, Margarida and her team are most welcoming!
The suite is large and is not overfurnished, not to say a bit barren, but maybe it's better like that in a place like Braga - what chandeliers and vintage chairs for there?
The room has a very potent AC but the constant breeze is enough with the terrace door open in the night - no, it's not at all noisy, only as of 7pm, but you'll be up by then!
Breakfast has everything you may need, all in simple and plain presentation, you won't miss much.
Parking costs 7 euros for hotel guests, you should just take the card and remember to validate it with the reception before going out each time..
The pool on the top floor is small but perfect for children; there is a covered area beside it for your comfort, and the view is amazing!
Internet is fast and reliable, cleaning is impeccable, personnel is most friendly and attentive.
A do-up into modern will be needed at some point and I am sure it's been taken into consideration by management. Anyway, a place to recommend with no second thoughts!
