Enjoyed 3 nights in Porto Hotel, comfortable and clean as you would expect from a Mercure Hotel. The best thing about this hotel is that everything is within walking distance or the bus/train station.
The rooms are spacious, beds firm but comfortable, showers have good water pressure and hot.
Breakfast ok, bar offers good range of beverages but a little pricey, go for a walk and you will find some very cheap drinks.

Stayed: May 2017

This is a good choice for Porto, with quiet rooms available and a friendly and helpful staff. Outside the main tourist area, which is good, and night next to the nice shopping district. Rooms are modern.

This hotel was ideal for a short 2 night. Room and bed were comfortable the location was good. there really isn't much more to say about this hotel if you want somewhere decent to put your head down for a night or 2 this hotel would do the job.

Good stay here in a handy location, close to Sao Bento and Ribiera district.
Liked the room, modern lighting and all.
Good to have tea facility and reasonable toiletries.
Nice view down the hill and part of Sao Bento!
Decent breakfast though a bit 'corporate' overall ...piped music etc.
Didn't find the staff very forthcoming or engaged, no idea why.
Overall, though, a good choice

Room Tip: Higher floor looking downhill

Was my first time in Porto and I wanted to have a central located hotel - altogether the Mercure is a good choice. Although locationwise, dont underestimate, if you wanna go to Ribeira or other places close to the city, because of the hilly structure of Porto it is still quite a walk - especially uphill coming back. But this is Porto and part of its charme. The hotel itself is typically Mercure, modern - rooms are a bit small and cold, bathrooms though are looking very new, quite spacious, really nice. Breakfast was good too, good choices of bread and coldcuts and cheeses! Staff was very helpful and very friendly - thanks for that!
