Four of us stayed here on a weekend visit to Porto. The hotel is superbly located, just a couple of minutes from the Bolhao metro station, and walking distance (10-15 mins) down to the Cais de Ribeira. The main public areas of the hotel are very grand and comfortable, we thought the rooms were quite small and basic, but fine for what we were looking for. Breakfast was good, but reasonably basic. The hotel offers free wi-if, however we found this didn't stretch to the 3rd floor! Was quite cheap, so I thought it offered good value for money.

Bolhao metro station about five minutes walk to hotel, This hotel is perfectly located in regard to visiting the main attractions in Porto. We booked a standard room with breakfast which was quite suitable for our three day break, very clean a spacious. Breakfast was adequate with a good choice to suit most people, but one let-down was no warmed plates for your hot food, this was also the case for the evenings hot buffet which was again very good but spoilt by cold plates, The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, our time at this hotel was enjoyable and very good value. We would stay here again when back in Porto

Stayed in this Hotel for three nights in March. The position of the Hotel was first class for sightseeing in the city. The Hotel staff were among the most friendly and helpful we have encountered in all our trips. The main hotel facilities were charming. The buffet breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. The downside of the Hotel is the size of the bedrooms. My wife and I are both 70 and our room we felt was for single occupancy as it and the bathroom were very tiny.

Room Tip: Ask to see your room first and if small ask for a larger room.

My room was pretty standard, comfortable, well appointed, large bathroom. But the charm of this hotel lies in its public areas, the bar and lounge areas where you can sip a drink or read in rooms from another era. The music is a little too loud for comfort though, especially when you're trying to read.

Otherwise the staff were a mixed bunch. Without exception the front desk staff were friendly, helpful; the breakfast room staff ignore you completely. I had contact with two of the barmen, one of whom was delightful and recommended some port, the other who looked like I had ruined his evening by daring to turn up and order something.

A very good location near a metro station, up high so you can get to most places on foot easily without having to climb a lot.
Highly recommended.
