Is one the best places to have a view to Two cities at the same time, Porto and Gaia. And the river ...Go for it. Start walking from Gaia to Porto, you will enjoy it.

Luís I Bridge, a must for anyone visiting the city. The bridge between the cities of Porto e Vila Nova de Gaia is a double-deck metal arch construction that spans the Douro river.
Very beautiful views of Douro river, with lot of attractions on the surrondings namely the Oporto Wine Cellars and a wide variety of restaurants !
It was erected between years 1881 and 1886 by the Société de Willebreok, from Brussels, with Théophile Seyrig supervision, author of the project and a disciple of Gustave Eiffel. With its 172 m it was the longest of its type at its construction.
In 1982, the bridge was designated a cultural heritage.

The bridge is imposing and looks spectacular. It is possible to walk across it - or you can take a tram. The views from the top are wonderful but it’s not for anyone who has difficulties with heights.
