The hotel is located close to the Porto stadium, so even is not so close of the old town, is well connected. The rooms are big, new and have a nice design. The whole hotel hae a nice modern decoration and the breakfast is really nice. The staff was very friendly too

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. The hotel has a modern atmosphere in the common areas, with great and friendly staff. The rooms are less modern, but still very comfortable. They are spacious, with a big hall, bathroom and good and big bed. We've had dinner in the restaurant the first night and were surprised by the level of service and quality of food. Food not very special, but good value for money. The staff was very friendly and guest oriented. Breakfast good, with fresh pastry and chocolate truffles.

The only downside is the location of the hotel. The district is calm, but about 10-15min away from the centre of Porto. Public transport (busses) is close, but taxi's are cheap and convenient. Subway from the airport is not very close, if you can afford it, take a taxi (€20). The Hotel has a business feeling, but for us this was not a problem at all.

I've only stayed in this hotel for one night but I liked it very much. Fast and efficient check-in, front desk staff really funny and nice.
Room spacious and comfortable, clean and with comfortable bed. Bathroom had good size, good quality toiletries.
Location is ok, some small caffees near the hotel, parking free not very difficult to find.
Breakfast very good, with high standards of quality.

Stayed here for 5 nights.
My first visit to Opporto.
It's a very professional hotel, great looking but is slightly away from the main tourist areas.
It is more of a buisness hotel i guess.
Great breakfast, and a lovely big room - room 516.
The hotel has a restaurant and bar in the evenings.
taxi ride into the old town was approx €7.50

Room Tip: High floor. there are no views so doesn;t matter what side.

I traveled to Porto with my brother for 2 nights, and we decided to stay at the BessaHotel Boavista.

Location: about 10 minutes walk to the next metro station, from which you just need a couple of minutes to go to the city center. The metro also goes to the airport, this takes about 15 minutes.
You can also walk to direction " casa de musica". This takes about 15 minutes. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and a shopping center.

Rooms: We were very satisfied with our room. Everything was clean and modern. The bed was large and comfortable, there was a big TV with a huge amount of channels. Our room had a glassfront to the street, but it was still very calm. The bathroom was large and modern aswell.

Staff: The staff at Reception, Breakfast and at the bar was very friendly. The check- in and the check-out was fast without any prbolems. At the evening we went to the Hotelbar. The staff served quickly and friendly. The prices were allright.

Breakfast: The breakfast was amazing, and the best breakfast I had in a portuguese Hotel so far. Even the coffee for breakfast was good (often in portuguese hotels the coffee at breakfast tastes awful, eventhough Portugal is known for it´s good coffee/espresso).Next to the standard breakfast, they also serves scrambled or fried eggs, bacon, majoran-mushrooms, pancakes, fruits, fresh orange juice, cakes and a lot more.
