We enjoyed a remarkable morning with Jose learning about the history of the Jewish community in Porto, starting from Roman times. We explored much of central Porto, discovering various neighborhoods and significant buildings. Jose has a passion for learning about and sharing this part of Porto's culture. Recent building renovations have uncovered locations of Jewish sites and artifacts and Jose is actively involved in this research, so his knowledge is current and deep. This tour would fascinating to anyone interested in the development of Porto's history and culture.

Jose took us on a wide ranging walking tour of Porto and explained all the history and mystery in this amazing city. He was patient, went at our pace, answered all our questions and then personally escorted us to our Port Tasting in case we couldn't find our way around Gaia. For a great guide, ask for Jose Chaves!

My cousins and I went on the morning walking tours through our hostel - The Wine Hostel. It is a two and a half hour tour but well worth your time. Our tour guide was Nunu and he was wonderful! He really captured the essence of Porto and explained the history very well! He was even so kind as to teach us some words in Portuguese! Obrigada, Walking Tours of Porto!

My friend and I did a walking tour of Porto this morning. It was an excellent very informative way to see and hear all about this lovely city. Patricia was so knowledgeable and also suggested other places to go and places to eat. And it was free! But make sure you give a good tip as it's really worth it. ☺
