We had to change room 2 times due to airconditioning failure. Staff and manager treated us as fools who do not know how aircon operates. They charged us additional 30 EUR per night for kid.
Location is terrible looks like slums. Ruins and graffitti everyehere. The only plus is big parking if you come by car.

There are much better hotels downtown.

Avoid!

Fantastic hotel. I have stayed here many times before. Porto is great for Uber so the location is not a problem whatsoever. The bar is good but is the food not so good there. Showers are really good here.

This is a fairly typical mid level hotel . It is a good 20-30 minuet walk from the center and not just minutes. Porto is hilly so this could be a tiring walk so we used Uber at times which was $4-5. If you have family members where some want to break during the day or some want to party at night and others do not- this place is. Not convenient for that. If your party /group travels together on the same schedule you should be fine. Also this is a quiet place outside of downtown which some might find very relaxing etc... i also think pricing is probably better given not in center . Breakfast buffet is pretty big but expensive- 12 euros p/pbwhen a coffee and egg sand which next door with juice is 4 euros.. overall a good place but depends what ur looking for

This is located a 20 minute easy walk from the town centre, based in a quiet residential/business area.

It is not a hotel you will be taking lots of photos of. It is a modern, clean (clinical?) hotel that has a businessmans's feel to it. It is clean, beds are comfy, bathrooms spacious and air con is efficent and quiet. (However note that the air con cannot be set lower that 19c). the bathroom is a little off-putting in that a third of its walls are glass (frosted of course) but even so!..

On arrival reception was ok but not offering any info eg "time of breakfast" "a second key?" (essential for air con!). simply "the lift is over there!".

The bar was good and fairly priced for a hotel of this type. Breakfast was standard buffet fare.

BUT the very best thing about this Hotel, is the restaurant bang next door. Cozinha do Manel, really excellent place (see review).

Room Tip: Next Door Restaurant!

This is a good hotel from outside and inside just the management is such racist people I experienced it first time . When we entered to check in we were greeted like we don’t belong there then waited one hour for check in whilst we saw many people coming after us getting their rooms first . We were not even explained properly our room n just the keys were handed over .the surprise was when ordered some cutlery and they charged us for that , I had lived in 5star hotels n never saw charge for cutlery in my life and they said you have to pay for 5euros for empty plate n spoon . This is hospitality on another standard . I haven’t never experienced such rude behavior in any hotel. The towels smelled n were old n the whole Porto experience was such a let from such a beautiful city .
