Chose this as a mountain stop for a two-night stay with our little one, based largely on previous TA reviews. Beuil is a wonderful little mountain town/village with narrow streets and it's own ski runs - but not much else open there during the off-ski season so we chose the half-board (1/2 pension) option. Room was clean and spacious enough for us and our travel cot, comfy bed with very clean sheets, and clean well-furnished bathroom.
We knew the area would have stunning scenery, and had a few ideas of where to go, but were helped by the owner/manager who loaned us his map and marked a route to see the prettiest villages and a snow-covered pass to drive through.
Biggest positive was the food. I hadn't realised before I got there, but the hotel and restaurant are Michelin-listed. Not being French, I can't speak precisely of what that means, but suffice to say it is a very positive recommendation, and we were mighty impressed with the food. In the morning, they make their own fresh bread and croissants for breakfast, and amongst the buffet are local charcuterie/sausages and cheeses. In the evening there was a 3-course dinner with some great choices including local pates and terrines for starters, and some amazing desserts.
