We had an excellent dinner at Athinaikon. Food and Service was wonderful. Our server made wonderful wine recommendations along with guiding us through some of the favourite dishes on the menu. We had a Greek salad to start that was fresh and delicious, followed by moussaka and shrimp and crayfish croquettes. If you are in the mood for dessert the baklava with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is a must!!

At the end of the meal the server brought us some complementary liqueur. A great way to cap off the evening. If we find ourselves in Athens again we would go back to Athinaikon.

We came here because it looked very busy when we passed the day before so we assumed it was popular. It was busy on the day we visited too so the service was a bit slower than what we are used to.
The food was very nice, I really enjoyed everything I ate here. I have seen a few comments about the portion size being too small, but I had a starter and a main and it was more than enough. The atmosphere of the place is really nice and it has a quite cosy feel to it.

Food was very good...not excellent or special but nice. Service was really disappointing. The waiter seemed unhappy to greet us. Rolled his eyes when my son asked if he could have olive oil for the bread. Cleared our plates and placemats without offering desert menu. I thought perhaps it was us (maybe he didn't like tourists) but I noticed he was sour with the other tables around us. Felt like they wanted to rush us through to get another sitting in. Wouldn't repeat for sure.

Excellent food, excellent service and ambiance. Perfect location.
When Athens is hot, and it could be in jury-august, it is a real delight to go and be in some cool air!
You should ask for tap water, or mineral will come alone!

The food was just ok but really small portions for Greece. At the end we couldn't belive we were charged 3,20 euros for 4 slices of bread. When we asked the waiter he said that its for 2 people...so imagine the price of bread at this restaurant for a really large group...
