“L'appartement idéal pour découvrir Athènes”
Reviewed August 5, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The perfect appartment for your Athens' discovery. Well equiped, nice and welcoming place, with all you need. It is perfectly situated to walk to acropolis and all the principal places of historic Athens. Enough room for the familiy. Very interesting optional guided tours. I warmly recommed this place.

“Fantastic. Cute spacious set up with courtyard and extra studio for privacy”
Reviewed August 16, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We enjoyed staying near the Acropolis, eating in local restaurants, and sightseeing. The apartment was spacious and clean. Decorated very nicely. In quaint neighborhood. It is near tourist areas but is quiet. Near nice bakery and small grocer. Great to eat outside at night look at Acropolis/

“Location, location, location”
Reviewed November 1, 2012 for a stay in October 2012

Upon our arrival we were met by the very friendly and helpful neighbours who gave us a brief tour of the apartment and its fixtures. A well appointed, very clean apartment that was within walking distance to the Acropolas, the Plaka and the down town cafe and restaurant precint.

“If you have any soul, you'll love Athens Heritage House and Thissio.”

We loved Athens Heritage House so much we extended our stay and changed our travel plans. Athens Heritage House is a beautifully renovated neo-classical home in a unique area of Athens. Our family ended up staying for four weeks and from the very start we felt at home in both the house and the neighbourhood. We ate out locally in Thissio, Petralona, Psirri and Gazi, but also really loved getting cosy and cooking at home after a visit to the local stores or Athens market. The house has a comfortable central living area with a very sociable kitchen with a full oven and stove. It is certainly large enough for everybody to find a private space. In our case, we had language lessons going in one area and music practice in another area. The house is within minutes of lively bars and some nice tavernas if you feel like stepping out without travelling far, but the street and house are very quiet. You are only 10 minutes walk from the top of Acropolis, and we managed to be up there as it opened and found ourselves alone. There are wonderful walks nearby in wooded parklands to the Pnyka and Filopappou Monument, with amazing views back to Acropolis and Lykavitos. You will hardly believe you are in the middle of a busy city of over 3 million people. We never tired of taking an afternoon walk. Our children loved playing football in the soccer ground in the park at the end of the street. There is a bike rental store in Thissio and we found it a great way to get around. Best of all, the owners and manager of Athens Heritage House are knowledgeable enthusiasts about Athens and will point you in the right direction if you want to do more than the usual sight-seeing. You just have to bring along a sense of adventure.
