“Excellent Hotel close to all tourist attractions”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2012

Excellent modern style hotel, close to all attractions. New Acrpolis museum 500 metres, Acropolis Complex, 1000 metres, Acropoli Metro station 500 metres. Loads of local tavernas, and only a short walk to "plaki" where all the remaining restaurents and cafes reside.

Room was modern, clean and everything worked, bathroom clean and well stocked. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and good quality.

Staff friendly and helpful with directions and free maps.

WiFi in lounge 2Euros.

We stayed in this hotel during the week end of the Athens problems and you might as well have been in another City. This small hotel is tucked away in a little street situated in a great location for most of the attractions and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, and although the rooms are on the small side they are clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also a little small but again clean and offered a good shower. Our room also had a view of the Acropolis.
The breakfast offered was of a continental nature with plenty of choice and was more than acceptable.
If you are travelling from the airport you can get the metro to Acropolis station for 8 Euros and walk for 5 minutes instead of a cab for 35 Euros. The journey is about the same, depending on the traffic, about an hour.
The price paid was very reasonable for a capital city hotel and comes recommended for a short break.

Room Tip: Try and get a balcony room

We only stayed here for a couple days, and the location cannot be beat. I wouldn't wait around for the breakfast though, it gets really crowded and really not worth it- feels like a college cafeteria. I'd rather go to one of the lovely cafes not far from here

This is a great hotel and this is the 4th time we have stayed here. We had a quad room overlooking the Acropolis. This is a basic, neat and clean hotel which you can get at a very good price. Location is great, very close to the Acropolis. To get to the hotel catch the metro from the airport, change trains at Syntagma and take the red line to Acropoli station. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from here.
The hotel offers a good breakfast, cerial, toast, greek cakes, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit. Enough to give you a good start to the day.
The hotel rooms are a bit tight, but still comfortable, try get a room with a balcony overlooking the Parthenon.
The hotel is in a great location for sightseeing, buy yourself a metro day pass for 4 euro, this also lets you travel on buses. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but its sister restaurant, Herodian does.
If in athens on a Sunday, all archeological sites are free entry, if you cant get there on a Sunday, pay 12 Euros and this gets you into most of the sites including: the Acropolis, Roman Agora, Temple of Zeus and more - great value when you consider in London to visit St Pauls Cathederal cost you 14 pounds.
We will stay here again next time in Athens.

Tiny rooms, spotlessly clean! Ask for a room with a balcony.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a large balcony

This hotel is in a perfect location just beside the Acropolis and a short walk to Plaka the shopping area. Also only 5 minutes to the excellent metro system. The hotel is pretty basic but very clean and perfectly adequate. I was in room 602 which had a partial view of the Acropolis and a huge balcony, it had an adjoining door however to 601 and the wall was paper thin, I might as well have been sharing with the people next door as I could almost hear them breathing . Luckily they were pretty quiet but it was still annoying as they talked until about 1 each night. Otherwise the hotel is very quiet. The breakfast is quite nice but can get crowded- basic continental breakfast . Some of the hotel staff were friendly but the guy on the front desk in the evening was a bit grumpy. Wifi is available in bedrooms at a cost of 6 Euro per day. Rooms and bathrooms small. I paid 60 Euro for single room which was reasonable for the location

Room Tip: Don't take 602 if 601 is occupied these 2 rooms would be great for a family as they have an adjo...

Reasonably nice room and balcony, good breakfast, but very stingy with the internet. A colleague and I there for a meeting over several days and we were supposed to get wifi included, but the staff were very reluctant to give us codes the evening of our arrival (they wanted us to pay extra but relented after some arguing, and pointing out that we would be leaving at lunchtime on the last day). There's just no excuse for being so cheap. Otherwise it's a reasonable price for the good location near the Acropolis.
