I have been there 2 times in a month time. THe staff is helpfula nd nice, they organize even boat trips or excursions in the city. It is 5 minutes from the Acropolis, it is clean, the room have Greek Myth names. The private double room is small but with a sink in it and itis clean. The dormitory it is perfect. THe value price.location/cleanliness is absolutly worth the stay. THe only thing I could say is that on week ends when the streets around get busy it can be noisy ( but honestly ina big city in a hostel on the week ends, where You can find peace?). I racommend it!

Room Tip: First floor, the second and third are cloose to the roof bar

Very friendly staff, showed us around Athens and helpeds us out with everything we needed. The rooftop bar was a great place for socialising.

As for the rooms - nothing special, clean, basic and just enough for a typical hostel visitor. Very good for the price.

It's a good location and low cost hostel, very close to those attractions, museums and the metro Monastiraki, so is convenient to the airport or the Piraeus port.
There is a roof bar serve free shot and other alcohol. Staffs r very helpful and kind.
But the cleanliness is not that good. And wifi is hard to link on.

We stayed here four nights while in Athens and doing an island day cruise. It is easy to get to and from the metro station and the sights/restaurants/shops in the main squre of athens. It is a hostel so there is nothing special, just the basics: beds and shared bathrooms (outside room). It wasn't super dirty but it was really clean either everything was just sorta dingy.

There were two comptuers to use internet for free as well as wifi which was a plus.

The biggest plus is it is extremely cheap like $14/night per person so perfect for when your backpacking through and just need a place to sleep at night.

I slept two nights in Zeus Hostel with four friends (because the more expensive hostel Pella Inn made a booking mistake, but that's another story).

The location has a good and a bad side: the good thing is the central position. Zeus is in a sidestreet of Odos Athinas, a big avenue that connects Monastiraki square and Omonia square, the two central places of contemporary Athens. It's also nearby the central market place (fish, meat and fruit), which is very pleasant to walk trough (very noisy, in a positive sence, and vivid). The bad side of this location is that the area around Omonia has the reputation of being one of the most obscure and, not really dangerous but shocking of Athens: prostitution and drugs are common. But if you always walk to the city centre via the Odos athinas, than there will happen anything, so don't be afraid of that.

The price of Hostel Zeus is low. We had to pay 14 €/person for a four persons bedroom (without breakfast), which is very cheap for the location. A welcome-shot (very good ouzo, with orange flavour) on the rooftop bar, luggage deposit and free computers are included.

The toilets and rooms are very basic, a little bit old fashioned, but clean, just what you except for the price. I can't really remember if there was airco in our room, but i don't think so. There is no possibility for cooking yourself.

The rooftop bar is OK (normal prices) and most of the staff is quite friendly.

To conclude: the low price, the central location and the simple but clean rooms make Hostel Zeus a good place to sleep in Athens if you travel low-budget and don't expect to much.

It was decent and the staff was nice. wifi only worked on ground floor and the showers sucked.

Good location as close to action but also crap part of town. Didnt go back second time in Greece.

Tips hat,
