Comfortable hotel, walking distance from the centre, good size rooms, clean and great hospitality! Lady receptionist was ever so helpful guiding us to get a bus to the airport. I recommend to any one who's looking for a place to stay by the ocean! Lovely roof jacuzzi!

Just as displayed in the photos and We provided some roof top views.
Our really enjoyed our stay at Halepa Hotel. It had a wonderful old world air and charm. The beds were very comfortable, breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very delightful and helpful. They were very willing to give tips and recommendations.
The location was great to access the old port of Chania as well. Not quite close enough to walk in our view but Just a short 3 minute drive though made it easier that we did every night. Walking along the streets of the old port is very romantic and or great for families.
Because we had a family of 5 and needed 2 connecting rooms, these rooms were only available on the main floor and there was no real view. We were ok with this as it provided the adequate space needed for us.
This hotel is meticulously maintained and very clean.

Stayed for three nights and would recommend wholeheartedly to any individual, couple or family who doesn't need to be in the heart of Chania town. It's the former British Embassy and has some great amenities -- a lovely garden in which to enjoy breakfast, spacious and comfortable rooms, a rooftop jacuzzi/relaxation area, and genuine staff who'll go out of their way to help you in any way they can. It's about a 20-25 stroll into the harbour area of Chania, but that's part of the attraction of this hotel -- that it's removed from the noise and bustle that accompany the central hotels. If you have a rental car, all the better, as you can just drive into Chania where there's plenty of parking. No balconies in the rooms, but you have a nice hotel garden and rooftop instead.

We stayed here for two nights in July. A delightful hotel, very nice staff and we had two wonderful nights sleep. Our room was quiet and very comfortable and the whole interior is beautifully maintained. The breakfast was fine but we are not big breakfast eaters. Highly recommend Halepa, there's also something very special about staying in a place which was once the British embassy.

I chose this hotel based on the reviews and I was not disappointed! The room was great, the roof top patio was delightful with a small pool where my kids could cool down. The ambience is really lovely in the common areas of the hotel and the front patio was very nice. The staff were the real feature at this hotel. We were greeted by George on the morning of our arrival to Chania and he was extremely helpful in navigating us around the area. They checked us in right away as well, which I wasn't expecting. George also helped me in renting the car they have available and explained good places to visit around the island. I can't say enough about him!! Thanks George!! Also, in the evening, another George (Mr. P.) was helping with other matters and even suggested an outing to celebrate my sons birthday that turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks to you as well George P.!! The location is great to access the local public beach, which we found to be a lot of fun and spent quite a bit of time there. Lots of waves to splash around in! Overall a wonderful place to stay!!
