This small hotel is a jewel!! The family helps you find all of the best local restaurants, sites to see and makes you feel right at home! They include a huge basket of fruit, wine, cookies and other treats to make your stay special. The rooftop garden is another extra that is just delightful - we went there in the morning and enjoyed our coffee and tea in the most beautiful setting. Highly recommend!!

Room Tip: Our suite was spacious with a street view - we closed the windows at night and it was absolutely quiet. Just lovely!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Palazoo di Pietro. The hotel is in a great location, right downtown, but on a quiet street. The staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. We got recommendations to some great restaurants and really felt welcome in Chania. It didn't hurt that there was a bowl of delicious fruit, wine and raki in our room when we arrived either (and it was all came from the farm owned by the family that runs the hotel!). The room itself was beautiful (though the shower is very small) and homey. The roof deck space was also a great place to relax after a long day exploring.

It was a unique, charming and all together lovely stay. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Our room was below some noisy people, so it might be best to request something higher up

We had a lovely room up on top floor (yes steps ) and it was so comfortable and atmospheric I could have stayed for weeks. The history of the building and the family stories woven in to it made our experience incredibly rich. There is a lovely rooftop garden and it is in the heart of Chania but off on a quiet small street. But the real pleasure was in meeting the owners and their kindness and helpfulness completely made these 3 days a major highlight of our trip. They include such nice touches and warmth you can't help but feel special. It can be challenging to find but that is part of the magic. My kind of place. I would go back in a heartbeat

Room Tip: we had a room near the roof and loved it

We stayed here for a week in March. I had booked the hotel based on the good reviews I read. Our stay was even better than we could imagine. Elefteria the hotel owner and her two parents made us feel so welcome from the moment we got there. We were traveling with our baby boy for the first time and wanted to stay in a friendly place and we couldn't have picked a better place. We were made to feel at home for the whole week. Elefteria very kindly upgraded us to a superior room which was amazing. The huge bed was so comfortable and our boy loved splashing around in the bath. We were greeted by a huge bowl of fresh fruit and a fridge full of drinks. Every evening when we came home there were little treats such as chocolate and wine waiting for us including a chocolate bunny the night before Easter Sunday. The location was perfect for us. We were able to pop in and out a few times a day to take a break from walking and sightseeing. There are loads of really nice restaurants, cafes, bars at your doorstep. It is not a long walk to were you can park your car for free. The decor of the hotel is beautiful and they have really gone to a lot of effort. There is a rooftop garden on top too. There were other nice touches such as sun cream, umbrellas, sun umbrellas, chocolates, raiki etc in the reception that guests could avail of. Elefteria and her parents were available during the day and evening and were more than happy to do anything they could to help. They were so nice to our baby boy and loved greeting him every day. The night before we left Elefteria left us a note offering us late check out as she had noticed we had a late flight at 9:30pm free of charge which we really appreciated especially with our baby in tow. We'd love to come back to Crete some day and stay here again.

We were greeted at nearly midnight by Elutheria who then walked us about 50m to the hotel. She was like an old friend and took time to show us the old town map and described the best places to visit. She then showed us to our room which was truly marvellous. The room is actually a suite with a settee and chairs with a small kitchenette. There is a table and chairs also. It was very comfortable with some beautiful and thoughtful touches by the family. We had a huge bowl of fruit, wine, beer and soft drinks. There are chocolates left on the pillows every time they change the linen. Elutheria is as helpful as she can be and made the stay feel just like a home from home. I can't really think of anything more you could want. Stay here and you'll feel well looked after. Position wise you're right next to the harbour and bang in the old town. Couldn't be better.
