Owner description: Pyrgaki Beach is located at the south-west of Naxos, 20km from the port and the airport and is an ideal destination for all those who want to enjoy their holidays in a quiet and extremely beautiful environment. The high Northern winds cannot reach the area because of the location of the beach.Pyrgaki Beach is an area protected by the NATURA 2000 network because of its rare natural beauty which combines sea and cedars.

Secluded and quite! There are 2 good taverna's across from the Beach and a small hotel also with a place to dine. The beach has sun umbrella's and beach loungers for those who purchase a beverage. Silky white sand beach with some rock outcrops. Kids loved swimming here, the waters were gentle and warm. If your feeling more adventures take the dirt road towards Agiossis! There are some cliffs and hidden coves just before Agiossis or there is Agiossis Bay also another large secluded sandy beach about 5-10 min away from Pyrgaki Beach.

this is another very good beach on Naxos, where you can relax and spend good time, good for swimming and sunbathing alike

Naxos has many brilliant beaches and most of golden sand. Pyrgaki is good for kite surfing but on calmer days is good for swimming and beach activities (doing not a lot!)

This is a huge expanse of fine sand and, despite being the height of the summer season, there was hardly anyone there. There is a hotel where you can buy drinks if you wish, otherwise there's hardly anything here other than sand and more sand.

It's lovely, peaceful and quiet and an ideal spot to come by yourself or bring the family.

The water is lovely and clear and perfect for swimming, even though not very warm, that seems to be the case everywhere in Greece.

Naxos, like the rest of the Cyclades, can get very windy and your choice of beach may well be determined by the wind direction. This beach was a nice choice on a day when the high winds made it impossible to sunbathe nearer to Naxos town.

Buses do run here but not very frequently, so you need to get the timetable in town.
