You get what you pay for. £420 for 7 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment we weren’t expecting high class luxury. We got exactly what we expected, basic, clean, comfortable accommodation. Kitchen isn’t vastly equipped and didn’t have a toaster which I would have expected and considering it’s supposed to sleep 4 did only have 2 mugs and 3 glasses!! But it was clean and the bed was comfy.
The pool area was fine too. Pool was clean and the snack bar served decent food.
The walk into lassi from Liberatos is not for the faint hearted. It’s tough going but gives you the opportunity to burn off a couple of mythos and gyros.
We’d stay again.

We stayed here in August 2017 for a two week holiday - we had been here previously in 2000 when this development was still new. Then it was impressive, but it seems nothing has really changed since and it needs some TLC.
The rooms were clean if a little tired. Bathroom was OK, aircon was not very good, but we had a nice breeze being on a hill. The views from the site are still stunning with amazing sunsets.
The pool is nice but again tired and the pool area needs tidying and weeding. The positive is that the pool area is large and we never had issues getting loungers.
The bar is good and does good food; daytime only, with fair pricing.
The site is up a hill, one I would happily walk down, but would prefer a taxi up (€5) as it is very steep in parts. It would take circa 15 minutes to walk and then need a drink from the bar to recover.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again as it is inexpensive and serves as a good base for the beautiful island of Cephalonia.

This destination is 2 stars and it certainly did not exceed them, the base apartments are like caves with no private external seating area, we change room three times. the third room was fine with beautiful views and large balcony. The usual two star broken appliances fittings and fixtures which you expect from a classic Greek 2 star where in abundance not forgetting the pool side cubical showers which consisted of a hose producing cold water and drains that did not drain etc...( The pool is fantastic) My main disappointment was the young staff who where not over friendly and I have stayed at over 20 Greek hotels and never experienced this before, it felt like all the hard work of possible an older generation to build a beautiful place to stay was crumbling away day by day ! Glad it was not my first experience of Greece and its lovely people.

The view from the pool was lovely, and from our rooms. the room was big enough , the beds were hard, kitchen facilities were enough for breakfast and a light lunch !
The pool was lovely, the bar area was lively, and the staff were friendly. they have a book swap which was good. We did a trip with a private transfer from the reception it was great. The staff were happy to ring taxi each night. The hill is OK to walk down but heart attack material on the way back up. The price was very reasonable.

Room Tip: Our rooms were a cross the tiny road - all have nice views

We arrived on 14th October the hotel room was very basic but that was expected what I didn't expect was for the whole area to be CLOSED reception very rarely open the pool was DISCUSTING I would not have put a goldfish in there never mind myself it was green with alge and no filters most sun beds and brollys were removed on the Sunday the pool bar/shop and kitchen never opened The resort was closed with only 2 restaurants open no bars/taverna and the last supermarket closed on the Tuesday not good when self catering DO NOT EXPECT ANY ASSISTANCE FROM THOMAS COOK they will pass you to OLYMIC who just advise they are covered by their terms and conditions stating some facilities will be closed that's all very well but we didn't expect everything to be closed we were advised to hire a car ow make the 50 minute walk into Agostoli and pay for a taxi back there were no buses or even boat trips all the reps both Thomas cook and Olympic had been returned to U.K. On 8th October a week before we arrived this was a last minute booking due to the collapse of Monarch so the holiday companies knew what they were sending us to - seems both just want to take your money and abandon you to your fate
