Knowing Limnos is not a tourist island, we only stayed a short time as I have family in one of the villages. We stayed at the Lemnos village resort and the stay was average.

Pavlos the driver was very nice, but I cannot say the same about the hotel reception staff who seemed to be unwelcoming to say the least.

Our room we think was upgraded but not too sure. It was clean and plenty of room to spread out. We had a view of the ocean which wad great.

It was just the little things you would expect which we never had. For instance there was no contents in the mini bar, even though there was a pricelist. There was no information whatsoever on the resort facilities. We asked reception a few times if they could give us some more information and what their resort had to offer and they couldn't be bothered. It got to a point where we gave up asking.

The pool was nice and clean, the bar food and buffet and breakfast were all nice, but having been travelling for the past 5 weeks it's the little things that make you enjoy your stay that little bit more, and for my wife and I it is always how polite the staff are.

We may stay there again as there are not too many other places to stay at. Just a warning though, the reception staff don't care.

stayed here for a week in the sun, did not dissapoint. Originally booked regular room but ended upgrading to a suite which was well worth the extra money. the rooms are spacious and clean and we had a view of the water from our balcony.

We had rented a car and there was a large parking lot with free parking. (I recommmend getting a car if you plan to go anywhere outside of the hotel as it is quite a distance to the town of Myrina (4-5 km?) and to other sites on the island. However, if you choose to stay on the resort, there are several local excellet tavernas nearby within walking distance if you want to try some of the tasty local fare.

There is a wonderful fresh water pool with a bar/cafe attached, a good buffet breakfast. Overall, great value for the money - highly reccommended.

Spent 10 days in this beautiful hotel and are looking forward to our next stay.
Excellent stay, very nice location, warm people.
Rooms spacious with great views.
Breakfast and dinner in buffets with great selections.
The island of Lemnos is a hidden gem with lots of sandy beaches, nice people and great food. Ideal vacation place.

We have been to this hotel for the first time. The accomodation was fine. There was a clean and spacy room with a big terrace and a wonderful view. Especially the sunset was beautiful. The place is nice but maybe too tranquil. I would definetely recommend to rent a car.
The food was good but with not many variety.

Definetely not a five star hotel service! Hotel personnel seem very disorganized and have to call them and remind them 10 times to do one thing.
Not very helpful at breakfast /dinner buffet. Room cleaning not that great every day.
Some rooms smell like mold!
Every Friday they have loud greek music since they function as a local live music place....
Good enough but definetely not 5 star hospitality and not worth the money.

We have just come back from a 2 weeks holiday in Lemnos Village Resort hotel.Very happy with our choice. The location of the hotel is wonderful if you like a peaceful relaxing holiday, breakfast has a good choice, rooms are cleaned every day, the swimming pool is very nice, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Though the location of the hotel is beautiful, it has one little drawback:the nearest shop to buy some water, juice, etc is quite a long walk up the hill to the village of Plati. But look on the bright side: such a walk is good for you!
We would like to come back and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Don't believe the brochure. It said there is an on site taverna which turned out to be closed due to it being September (they call this out of season). It also said Myrina, the harbour town was a two km walk from the hotel. Rubbish. Try 3.5 km; a 50 min trek past an army barracks. So we had to resort to the run down transit van, with seats, which was discribed as the courtesy bus. We arrived on a Sunday, got changed and rushed to get the bus, waited for an hour, only to be told it doesn't run on Sundays. Then on Monday, when we did get the bus, all the shops were closed, all day.
We also found out that it is ideal for wind surfing as it is extremely windy!!! We couldn't sit by the pool because of this. It was freezing cold. We used our towels as blankets. Apparently, the hotel is mainly geared up for August when the Greek people come. They don't seem to care about the rest of the season. There were a couple of restaurants 15 mins walk away, but they were all closed, and seeing as we couldn't sit by the pool, or go on the beach as we got sand blasted, we had to take the bus into town everyday for something to do, and it soon got boring. The bus also ran at silly times. The last one came back at nine o'clock at night. Probably to get you to come back early and drink in the bar.
We decided to get a car out for a couple of days to relieve the boredom. This was a disaster too. The whole island was barren. The fields were full of half dead cattle, which was very upsetting. There was nothing else on the whole island.
The only good thing was that the room was lovely and the view as fantastic, but this did not make up for the rest of the two week nightmare. On return we complained to Thomas Cook, but were told it was out of season and this was reflected in the price, but it was never mentioned in the brochure. Is the middle of September out of season??
