Very nice family hotel with great staff which prepare breakfast before departure time (in our situations around 7:00). Good parking and quit place ideal for sleeping on the edge of village. Close to Mons Klint. Wi-fi only in public place.

In deed it was an excellent stay with friends. Hotel room was above expectation wrt DKK spend for a night.
EXCELLENT food, ever had in Denmark

Only thing, if you paid room charge by credit card then it will cost you 3.5% more.

Stayed here for one night while on a visit to Mons Klint from Copenhagen. Booked the hotel room through the website.

First of all this is a budget hotel so do not expect fancy things like all night room service, choice of multiple restaurants etc. But it still stands out because of the lady that owns this place, she is extremely helpful, and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and welcome.

The hotel is clean and neat. The check-in was fast and hassle free, in case the lady is not there when u arrive the key is kept in a black box outside, all the details are provided at the time of booking. The rooms are of modest size, u get a wardrobe for keeping your stuff. You have an option of carrying your own linen and bath towels, otherwise that is charged an extra 65 DKK. There is no TV in the rooms.

Bathrooms are shared, on each floor you have one for ladies and gents, plus one for handicapped people. The toilets are also clean and well maintained.

They have a kitchen with enough utensils and refrigerator in case you want to prepare your own food. But the dinner that we had at the hotel was EXCELLENT, the menu was roast chicken breast with baked potatoes in white sauce and salad along with apple pie. You also have a choice of ordering wine, beer or a soft-drink of your choice. Though not many options are available.

The hotel is situated bang opposite a 10 th century church which is also worth a visit.

The only problem is it is quite a distance(around 15-20 km) from the Mons Klint cliffs, but in case you come by your own car then not a problem at all.

I have been to many star hotels, but the hospitality that i received here completely floored me and my friends.

Highly recommend this place, if you are looking for a neat and clean place to stay with family and friends.

This hotel certainly served a purpose, it was very close to the school that we were meeting at as a group travelling from all corners of Europe. It provided enough rooms, and the owners were very happy to let us use the communal areas very late and play music etc to pass the evening away.

However, I gather that Scandinavia is well known for being expensive. For a room with single occupancy with breakfast, it worked out at £43 a night which isn't too bad. However, for that price, there are some things I would expect. Firstly, the towels and bedding were not changed for the entire 6 night stay, we were made aware of this on arrival, but I do think that this does not take long and makes all of the difference. Secondly, the room did not have an en-suite bathroom.

Now, if the price was £23 a night, this would be perfectly acceptable as a hostel, but I think that even at a hostel there are the options to have bedding changed and a private room with en-suite facilities. These were the only big problems I see with this establishment, apart from the huge numbers of flies that were in the architrave of the window on arrival (a swarm).

Due to being with a large number of people and enjoying company etc, these points did not detract too much from our stay, although I would look for somewhere in the town of Stege if I was visiting this region again, purely because there is far more going on there and you would not have to rely on the buses that finish at 9 on a weeknight and 7:30pm on a weekend.

The food was excellent, we ate two meals; on the first and final night, breakfast was fine, nice fresh bread, and a selection of cold meats/cheeses to choose from. Brit is lovely, she is happy to help and very friendly; we did not meet her husband.

So in essence, it is a quite adequate hotel to use if you are travelling as a large group. However, it is pretty basic and not having a clean towel or sheets isn't really what I expected.

Finally, the walls are paper thin and you can hear every little noise!
