We arrived a group of co-workers, and got seated in a dark room. We had been asked to order our meals in advance, but even then, the service was unbelieveably slow. 1 hour per course. I had ordered meze plate, grilled bream and prunes steamed in port with chantilly cream. Meze plate consisted of extremely salty greenish mush, which i was told was baba ghanoush, grainy ice cold houmus, and some feta with a couple of olives and pomegranate seeds. Now baba ghanoush is a silky smooth aubergine paste, this green stuff is nothing to do with that, houmus is only grainy in the danish version, the arabic way is soft and creamy, and should certainly not be served directly from the fridge, at a temperature like softice. Feta, and again very salty, should only be on a meze plate, if there is generous amounts of greens and herbs to accompany it.
The bream was cooked perfectly, but was very tiny, 3 mouthfuls. The side dish was rocket leaves and some pickled cherry tomatoes, so vinegary it made my eyes water. Also some undercooked, underseasoned indifferent potatoes.
Dessert supposed to be prunes, steamed in port, with chantilly and crumble. Nice flavourful prunes, with whipped cream and crushed digestive bisquits. Not quite the same thing. All in all a dissapointing and slightly frustrating evening. Wont go there again.
