Owner description: Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary exploits. Danish author Hans Christian Andersen made his home in Nyhavn as well. It's cleaned up now and is a lovely place for a stroll.

Nice area to visit. Bit like amaterdam but smaller. Good to have a drink but do not eat there in most places. Copenhagen has far better restaurants.

If you want to say you've been to Copenhagen, then you must come to this area. This is the iconic landmark of the city.

Really nice looking area even in the winter time. Good restaurants and river cruises. On the way to Little mermaid statue.

Enjoyed a lovely little stroll along this area, however on the warning that it is a tourist trap I refrained from dining at the various establishments along the harbor.

You can't visit Copenhagen without venturing out here. Visiting in Winter will ensure that you have access to a collection of relatively quiet restaurants by the water front, and have time to actually enjoy the place. If visiting in February/March, one of the Installations for the Copenhagen Light Festival (Started in 2018) is a few metres away in the direction of Christian Town
