“Nice Location”
Reviewed 23 March 2012

Good Location, rooms are unique with wooden beams & columns crossing. Breakfast is good. Overall good value for money.

Room Tip: Try to get room towards water side instead of road side.

Me and my wife spent 2 nights here 10-12th March 2012 to celebrate her birthday. The hotel is a very impressive building and has a great location on the waterfront and is an easy 10 minute walk from the metro station.
Booking in was quick and efficient and when we arrived in the room we had a phone call from reception to check that we were happy with the room and to ask if we needed anything.
Room was good with the wooden beams giving it a nice feeling, very clean with a great view overlooking the harbour.
We did not use the restaurant preferring to eat out and as the hotel is located close to Nyhaven with its great selection of bars and restaurants.
In short we were very impressed with this hotel and would be happy to reccommend it to anyone.

This hotel, centrally located near Kongens Nytorv and adjacent to Nyhavn, is inside an old waterfront warehouse and features exposed wooden beams and bricks throughout. My room was large, with a separate seating area, and very comfortable. Better for leisure than business, the wifi access in my room was almost non-existent...I had to pull my desk chair into the bathroom to get a usable signal!

You may wish to think twice before booking in the summer...I believe that the rooms are not air conditioned.

The hotel restaurant, Salt, is superb. Room service and bar meal quality was excellent.

I won't stay here on business again, but it's a great romantic spot for a weekend away.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the harbor side.

We stayed there for tow noghts before going on our cruise ship. We got in early in the morning from Atlanta and we able to get in our room right away. The staff was great the room was very nice.
When we got back from our cruise we stayed at The Square while the staff was nice the room not so much. We went to ur room and we did not even unpack our bags. I went downstairs and got an upgraded room better but not as nice as The Admiral.

I stayed 2 nights, midweek at this hotel and was entirely satisfied with my stay. The hotel itself is located right on the harbour front within walking distance of Nyhavn and very close to the Royal residence. The room itself was spacious enough and well insulated from any noise. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was small but functional. We had a couple of drinks at the bar, which was quite lively and the staff were super helpful and extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel, especially for its beautiful views and the spectacular building.

Very nice hotel in a great location, close to everything. The ground floor with reception, restaurant and bar areas are the least attractive and very standard. However my room was very nice and spacious and clearly reminded you that this once had been a warehouse. The bed was wonderful and the rest of the furniture good. Window can be opened, which I always feel is nice. The bathroom was dated and had no heating so if you prefer your room to be cold, so is the bathroom. Wifi for a fee which these days is almost like charging for electricity.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
