This museum is terrific. Two large floors of military items. The ground level has cannons and artillery from ancient times to modern day.

The upstairs contains uniforms and swords as well as dioramas of Copenhagen and exhibits that discuss key battles and moments in Denmark's history.

Plan on 1-2 hours.
Admission is included in the Copenhagen card.

The museum consists of 2 floors. The first seemed to act more as a storage room for cannons than as a coherent display of weaponry, but the second floor was very well done. It’s one long floor where the exhibits are laid out in a timeline of danish war history. There are also a huge number of model ships and other artifacts. We spent easily a couple of hours on this floor alone.

If you like your military history this is a must. With lots of displays, uniforms, models and weapons/artillery pieces; it is easy to spend several hours here. As someone who spent 20 years in the British armed forces, I was hugely impressed with the ‘Distant War’ exhibition which features a mock up forward operating base from the conflict in Afghanistan. With incredible attention to detail it certainly brought back many memories. Excellent !!

Saw weapons from WWI and WWII as well as the 1800s. Not extensive exhibit, but found it interesting.
